Featured Testimonial

"Kim at Happy Tails Travel is an absolute miracle worked. My 125 lb wolfhound more than exceeds normal size regulations, but she found me a kennel AND an airline that could fly him from Maui to Alaska - something that no other pet relocation service was able to offer."

Introducing Pet Care in the Air!!

By: Bridget Monrad, R.N. | Jan 05, 2024

We are happy to introduce our new service, Pet Care in the Air! This service is perfect for small dogs and cats, especially those that are unable to travel in cargo, travel to smaller airports, travel during times when temperatures are too warm or hot for typical air travel, and for those who want extra love and attention for their small pet while flying.

Our nanny will meet you either at the airport or your home. They will take care of check-in and going through security. While waiting for their flight, our nanny will take your dog to the pet relief area and make sure your pet gets plenty of treats, love, and fun! During the flight, your pet will ride under the seat with our nanny. Pets are never placed in the overhead compartment, on seats, or tray tables. After their adventure in the sky, we will return them to you safe and sound!

To fly in-cabin, your dog or cat must be less than 20lbs and less than 12 inches tall to fit in an airline approved carrier under the seat. There are no banned breeds for in-cabin flights as long as they meet the size requirements. Your pet must be well behaved as the airlines will not accept behaviors such as excessive barking, whining, and meowing, going to the bathroom outside of the pet relief area, or any aggressive behaviors. If your pet meets these requirements, this may be the perfect way to transport your pet!

If you are interested in our Pet Care in the Air service, visit our website to fill out a Pet Travel Form. One of our Pet Travel Specialists will get back to you with an estimate and more information.
